2001 BMW M Coupe in Titanium Silver Metallic over Laguna Seca Blue & Black Nappa

Seller Description

I'm selling my 2001 BMW M-Coupe, 63k mi, Titanium Silver with Laguna Seca Blue.

18 BBS two-piece wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 225/40 up front and 265/35 out back. Also just fitted a Stromung exhaust (still have OEM).

The tires were installed in March 2024. A power steering hose was replaced in March 2024, and the steering gear boots and the sway bar links and bushings were replaced in April 2024. The brake switch and clutch position sensor was replaced in June 2024 and a ceramic coating was applied in preparation for the sale. Car is fully serviced, I would have 0 reservations driving it across the country.

The Carfax Report notes a total loss declaration in a September 2002 entry. I am still "under research" with CarFax to have this removed, this car came with a clear CA title and clear TX title. Carfax had a damage report pop up in 2023, I contested the report and Carfax backdated it to 2002 as total loss. I've requested Oregon docs and the case is open with CarFax.

Im asking $45,500 with current CarFax mark OBO. Im open to trades, fire away with what you have. I'd trade up or down. Love JDM's, Euro, American, etc. RX7, GTR, Supra, NSX, AMG, BMW's, classic Z, I'm all over the place with cars...shoot over what you have.

This M Coupe was purchased by the seller in February 2024, and it is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic, and is said to have been refinished in 2016. Features include a sunroof, front fender vents, a rear window wiper, and quad exhaust outlets. The brake switch was replaced in June 2024 and a ceramic coating was applied in preparation for the sale. The Carfax Report notes a total loss declaration in a September 2002 entry. Paint blemishes are shown in detail in the gallery.

The 18″ BBS two-piece wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 225/40 up front and 265/35 out back. The tires were installed in March 2024. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control and All-Season Traction (AST), and braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs. A power steering hose was replaced in March 2024, and the steering gear boots and the sway bar links and bushings were replaced in April 2024.

The cabin features Laguna Seca Blue and black Nappa leather covering the heated sport seats, door panel inserts, and center console. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, a BMW Business CD stereo, and a Harman Kardon sound system. The left window motor was replaced in May 2024. The stereo control knob is missing, and an aftermarket switch has been installed in the center stack.

The M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel features Laguna Seca accents and frames a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 170-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 62k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.2-liter S54B32 inline-six features double-VANOS variable valve timing and a Siemens MSS 54 engine management control system. Output was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed and drive belts replaced in March 2024, the fuel filter and a radiator hose clamp were replaced in July 2024. Leaks are noted coming from a VANOs accumulator line as well as the timing chain tensioner.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A Stromung exhaust system has been fitted. The clutch switch was replaced in June 2024.

The Carfax report lists the aforementioned total loss declaration.

There is currently a lien on the car, and the seller’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the next owner.

It's a very cool and rare color combo. It only has a couple thousand new miles since we last saw it for sale earlier this year. I like the addition of the blue center caps to compliment the LSB interior. The black LeatherZ armrest with Homelink it cool too. It does have a total loss history unfortunately, but it sounds like there's a chance that may be able to be cleared up? Bidding up to $31,000.00 so far.
