2nd owner (since ca 28 k miles) of well maintained titanium silver M coupe with dark gray and black nappa interior and S54 engine. All options including sunroof. All stock except for front shock tower stabilizer bar. New tires (Continental Extreme Contact) all around, also new rotors and pads front and rear (OEM) all within 1000 miles. Importantly (Google this part and attendant problems) water pump replaced 2 k miles ago and cooling system flushed at the same time. Castrol TWS and new filter religiously every 7500 miles (recommended interval 10K) Garaged, no snow days, few rains days - none intentional. Very quick and astonishingly nimble, this car is a joy to drive. Unlike most 2 seaters, the M Coupe has a large trunk accessible through the hatchback. No track days or hot rodding but exercised regularly always with a smile on my face. Car has Thule bike rack on the car at the moment and will sell with the car.
Revision:
I have just checked the AutoCheck vehicle history for the car and was very surprised by what I saw. I bought this car in October, 1984 from a person who said he was the first owner. He said he bought the car on the west coast and had the car shipped to him by truck. At the time he told me that some minor damage to the left front of the car had occurred in transit by being jostled. Before I bought the car I talked extensively VOB BMW in Rockville, MD about the car's service history and condition. They said this was a straight, clean car. I bought it something like 20k miles left on the warranty and so did not bother to have it gone over completely. The car showed absolutely no sign of repair and received a squeaky clean bill of health from the BMW dealer. The "first owner" had brakes done all around and had a new clutch installed. I never got a good explanation as to why that needed to be done but was assured that clutches on this car will last a normal amount of time. Since I have owned the car (apparently since 33k miles, not 28k) the car has been bullet proof. In the 7 years I have owned it, its service repairs have been: one replaced individual cylinder coil and a small leak in the AC. AC done on warranty and the coil on my nickel. The AutoCheck report lists an accident in CA in 2006. This is simply false. This car has never left the Washington, DC area except for one trip to Philadelphia since I purchased it in 2004. I am trying to be touch with AutoCheck to challenge this entry in the car's history. I understand the a car's history is an important consideration in making a purchase. I encourage anyone interested in this car to call VOB BMW in Rockville, MD (301-984-8989) to check the accuracy of what I am saying here: namely no detectable damage, brake work and clutch replacement sometime ca. 28 - 29k miles and that this car has only had its AC fixed and coil replaced. I am not happy about this and am making a good faith effort here to set the record straight. My bad for not knowing that there was a 3rd owner, but an honest mistake, one I will not make again.

I am selling a 2001 BMW M Coupe with the 315 hp engine (S54). The car is silver and has a gray interior with a blue highlights. It has a 5 speed manual transmission and the car has 67,xxx miles on it. It has new Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires all around and new front pads and rotors (OEM) and will come with new rotors and pads for the rear although not installed. Only 690 M Coupes with this engine were made and I am guessing that number has decreased since 2001. So there is scarcity value in the car that will make its depreciation negligible and likely will cause it come to a point when it will appreciate. It is a very quick and nimble car. It is a sports car and seats only two passenger but the hatchback gives the car a substantial amount of trunk space, way more than enough for bags for 2 for a 3 day weekend away and lots of groceries if one were inclined to shop for food in it. The car has not been in an accident nor has it been raced or taken to track days. Overall it is in clean, good condition consistent with its mileage and age. There is curb rash on the wheels which can be removed so that the wheels look like new. That costs $400 for all 4 wheels. There is one small dent on the rear driver's side pillar. I came back to a parking lot to find it and have no idea how it occurred. I have a repair estimate in hand for $289.00. I am willing to sell the car as is or with the work done depending on the agreed upon price. Check this website: http://www.bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=17 to learn more about the car. Mine looks like the one shown in the picture. If interested in discussing the car in more detail please include a cell phone # in your response.
