Now that we have S54s are going for north of $60k, this is your chance to own one for nearly half that price. This 2001 has approximately 88k on the odometer is one of the most sought-after color combinations. It has been well cared for by multiple owners, but it is no garage queen. It is a driver's car and allows you to experience what Ian Whelan on The Drive so eloquently described as "I want the ultimate expression of any car model that I purchase." -- https://youtu.be/_KxF6IpVBUU?t=540
Why the low price? Early in its life, this car had some front-end damage and received a salvage title in 2002. The car was restored to original condition and has been on the road ever since. I have had it inspected by two chassis/alignment shops during my ownership, and both have confirmed it is straight as an arrow. I've enjoyed this car being a salvage because I would be terrified to do any modifications to a +$60k vehicle. This car is the right mix of fun, function, and price.
Sadly, I've had some life changes recently that require me to free up some cash. Alas, my favorite car needs to find a new home. In addition to the stock and fantastically strong S54, here are the tasteful modifications by performed myself and the previous owners.

The front bumper has been replaced and repainted by BMW of Mountain View. The rear roadstars had some flaking as can been seen in the photos but were stripped and repainted at the same time as the front bumper. All of the undercarriage aero and front wheel well liners have been replaced. The body would qualify as "driver's quality" and has small flaws as you'd expect from a tastefully driven 18-year-old car. In short, this car isn't perfect. But a little effort can bring this car to showroom quality if that is where you'd like to take it. If you are a driver, you'll probably be happy with the patina. I am happy to provide any details you might require. I can provide a recent CarFax report for the car.
ProTip: At this price, you can get a bank to finance 50% - 66% of the car with good credit. Financing a $60k 2001 model year car is nearly impossible, but this pricing is so much closer to the average price that a bank will probably work with you. I know. I did it a few years ago, and I've been smiling ever since.
Let's make one thing extremely clear -- I love this car, and it is one of the most amazing machines I will ever own. I've priced this car to sell, but I'd like it to go to an enthusiast that is going to appreciate the rare engineering marvel it represents.
If you are interested, feel free to contact me. I will not respond to requests to part out the car or low-ball offers.
