Up for sale is a special ordered 2000 Z3 M Coupe in Steel Gray Metallic on Gray, Sunroof Delete. It has just over 132,000 miles on it and turned that the last time I drove it to was it and take pictures. This car is spectacular and honestly my favorite car I have ever driven however next year I am moving to a larger city and will no longer have a proper place to store or drive the car so I need something better suited for where I will be living or I would keep it and let it appreciate while enjoying it on the weekends.
This car was custom ordered, only 5 M coupes were produced with the Steel gray metallic in the year 2000 and those were the only ones to ever come with the S52. There were two produced with a gray interior and this is the only one to come with a sunroof-delete option which increases the rarity even more. The guy who originally ordered it was an Air Force pilot and owned about 10 BMW's, he purchased the car as a part of his collection and drove it for a few years putting 15,000 miles on it until he and his wife had a baby. When they did, he was forced to sell it as a family of three does not fit well into a two seater and putting a baby in the trunk behind the cargo net is frowned upon (kidding of course). Sadly, he had to part ways with it.
Jeff, the second owner of the car purchased it from him. Jeff had two homes, one in New York and the other in NM. He spent his summers in NM and the winters in NY. The car spent most of it's time garaged and in New Mexico and he drove it during the summer, he made a few trips during that time back and forth to NY as I am told and that is where it gained most of its mileage. In 2012 Jeff ironically decided to sell the M coupe because he and his wife had a young daughter so he purchased an absolutely gorgeous e28 M5 and went about selling the M coupe.
At around the same time I began looking for an M coupe and had a Jeep Wrangler that a guy in Amarillo, TX bought and we drove to Texas from North Carolina in that, sold it, made the rest of the trip to New Mexico in a rental car. Drove the car back from there and to date have put just under 19,000 miles on it.
I am selling the car, not by my liking at all, but because I am moving to Raleigh, NC and my current daily driver is an E36 M3 in Dakar yellow, I love the car but it does not have Cruise Control (The M Coupe does however) and also driving a manual as my primary car in the traffic of a large city like Raleigh does not sound pleasant at all. Instead, I am selling both of them and looking for an E90 335i that will be better suited for where I will be living.
My primary goal when selling it is to find someone who will appreciate it and take car of it as it deserves.
