Up for auction is my 2000 BMW Z3 M Coupe. Would love for my car to go to an M enthusiast. This is one of approximately 1078 M Coupes produced in 2000, and as I understand one of 66 in this color combination. As shown in the pictures it is a beautiful Imola Red with the Red/Black Nappa leather interior. My car has not been modified or altered from stock/OEM set-up or equipment. I have owned this Z3 for approximately 4 years. It has been stored winters and never driven in snow. I have typically driven 400 miles per year in the summer.
The car is in great condition as seen in the pictures shows minimal wear. The badges are all there, bright and solid (no fade). The knobs, buttons, shifter do not show any wear. The original radio is present and the security code card is still in the binder. The radio looks brand new. A typical failure area is the center console which tends to crack, mine is not. The car runs perfectly and all lights (even the illuminated shifter knob) and electrical items work as they should. The A/C works fine and blows cold. The sunroof works as it should. The self dimming rear view mirror is perfect (not delaminated/failed like some I have seen). The headliner is in great shape with no stains, tears or other. The cargo cover is there and in great shape. The passenger seat is in great shape and the driver seat is showing minimal wear (see pics). There is only slight wear to the bolster on the driver side.
All body panels are original (fenders, hood, tailgate, doors, etc....) as they still have the original BMW stickers with the VIN number. All glass is original BMW, all around, no replacements, not even the windshield. I have had the differential mounts inspected and there is no tear/perforation of the sheet metal occurring (has been an identified area to keep an eye on in these cars). The motor and engine bay are in great shape and clean.
The original window sticker and all original books and manuals are with the car. I have one coded key that will go with the car.
Recent maintenance includes:
OEM BMW windshield wipers (all, even rear)
New Michelin Pilot 4S tires (<200 miles ago)
4 wheel Alignment
Oil and Filter (<500 miles ago)
Brake Fluid Flush (<500 miles ago)
Replacement of the door handle seals, as they were starting to get brittle (appears to happen on these cars)
I have put up a few pictures of the rims. There are a couple noted blemishes on the driver front rim and rear rim. These are minor and can be repaired easily. I also put up a picture of a hairline scratch, there are a couple, but this is the extent. There are a couple paint touch-ups on the front bumper. There are some road stone chips on the front, no more than would be considered normal wear for a car with 40,300 miles. I included a picture of the front caliper to show the originality of this car, it still has the factory verification paint marker on the clips and caliper (the caliper has some surface oxidation from some crappy wheel cleaner I used). These are the original M calipers and would be great if they were repainted at some point.
The car is in great condition, that said, please remember it is an 18 year old car with 40,300 miles. My car looks better at 18 years, than most do at 3 years. Please review all the pictures and if you want more of a specific area, please ask. If you have any specific questions, please ask. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere!
I have the clear title in hand. All funds must be cleared prior to the car leaving my garage (with the new owner or via a shipper). There is a $500 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of the auction completion. If you are financing this car, please have all of that set up with your bank prior to the end of the auction.
Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipment of the car. I will assist with meeting the driver if shipment via a carrier is chosen. If you are coming in to drive it home, I can pick you up at the Appleton/Outagamie airport.
When the reserve is met, high bid enjoys her. Good luck bidding.
