6/12/12 UPdate - Relisted with a slightly updated description and a few more miles.
5/3/12 Update - Priced reduced to $10,000 from $10,500. Seller also added a note that the salvage title was from the subframe not an actual accident. That means it has at least been repaired if not reinforced.
4/29/12 Update - Price reduced to $10,500 from $11,000
2/28/12 Update - Price down to $11,000 from $11,500
2/22/12 Update - Added a few new photos. The seller's photography has slowly gotten better.
2/4/12 Update - This is confirmed to be a 1999. Here's a first person review:
I drove the car and talked to the owner, who is a nice guy. Obviously there is the salvage title, but the owner says he bought it with this title and had it inspected before purchase and the mechanic said that the car didn't have signs of serious structural repair. It is definitely a 1999. The powder coating on the wheels is not my thing, and it is scraped off in places. Car makes an odd noise when you drive it in reverse. Interior definitely looks like it has lived each of its 110,000 miles. Carfax indicates there have been five owners, including the current owner.
2/2/12 Update - New listing has it priced at $11,500 and mentions a salvage title as expected. Does have some new, better photos though. The weird thing is the new listing says it's a 1999 when it's been labeled a 2000 for the past 9 months. Nto sure which it is. The recent brake and clutch maintenance is nice though.
2/1/12 Update - Back up to $13,000 again
1/3/12 Update - It looks like it's back down to $12,000 again.
12/16/11 Update - Relisted at $13,000 up from $12,000 with a couple new photos
9/13/11 Update - Price reduced to $12,000 from $13,000
7/8/11 Update - Price reduced to $13,000 from $13,500
6/30/11 Update - Back on the market with the price reduced to $13,500 down from $15,000. It also has 10,000 more miles since last September. The new interior photos look pretty good for the mileage.
This looks like it may be a nice driver, but it's hard to see much detail from the tiny photos. You can usually feel more comfortable in a high mileage example that's relatively stock. It sounds like he has done some recent maintenance, but I would ask if he's done anything with the cooling system yet. He doesn't list the interior color, but I'm pretty sure I can see imola red in the first photo.
